|In the turbolift

After a few hours in the Situation Room recruiting interested mutineers and deploying them throughout the ship, it's finally time to take the big step... the bridge.
The bridge. Serious business.
Kelby needs a minute to collect himself as the seriousness of what he's about to do hits him. He pauses the lift and slides down the wall until he's sitting on the floor. He holds his head in his hands for a few minutes, then looks up.
Kelby's still sitting on the floor, looking up at the ceiling as he talks with Malware.
"Malware... are, um... is this the right thing to do? I mean, not just the bridge, the whole ...thing."
Of course it is. Are you doubting me?
Now that his brain is engaged in conversation with Malware, Kelby relaxes a little. He stretches his legs out until the toes of his boots touch the other wall of the lift.
"No. I just..."
Kelby frowns to himself.
"I just wish I knew in advance how it all turns out. I don't like unexpected stuff, where I don't know what's going to happen next."
You don't need to worry, Russel. I've taken care of everything and the coordinates are all set. All you have to do is take command of the bridge.
Kelby shifts over and feels the phase pistol strapped to his leg.
"And you're sure everything will be all right?"
He frowns again and runs his finger through a groove in the lift wall.
"Wait... of course you're sure. It's you. So you said you have coordinates? For what"
He waits for an answer even though he's pretty sure a part of him doesn't want to know.
To take us to the Xindi weapon, of course. That is the whole point of this. To end it once and for all.
Kelby sits in stunned silence for a few moments before finding his voice.
"The Xindi weapon?! You've actually found it?
It was quite simple to track down. All the information's in the database, if you know where to look for it. If your Captain and other crewmembers didn't waste so much time on trivial things, they would've found it a lot sooner.
Kelby sits bolt upright at this news.
"Are you serious, it was in the database all this time?"
Kelby huffs and stands up, vigorously running a hand over his butt in case any dirt from the floor got on his coverall.
"All right then, that's enough moping. Malware, get this lift moving!"
Kelby stands up straight and adopts what he thinks is a commanding pose. He sets his jaw and says:
"Let's do this thing."
While I've still got the nerve...
*allows the lift to take Kelby to the Bridge, opens the door*
Just remember, Russel, you're doing the right thing to save Earth.
